HOZEN is a Californian vegan bags and accessories brand whose name means 'conservation' in Japanese. Founded in 2018, they're known for their colourful, playful designs and shapes, and beautiful vegan leathers. They're committed to ethical manufacturing practices, primarily using recycled materials and innovative eco-friendly textiles, and minimising material waste.

They use fibres such as eco-friendly biopolyoil (grain-based) leather and suede; Piñatex® (pineapple leaf fibres); recycled plastic and organic cotton twill linings; zippers and thread made with 100% post-consumer recycled plastic; natural rubber and remnant rope; recycled cotton labels; and packaging and hangtags made with recycled paper.

Each piece is produced in small batches at a fair-wage factory in Los Angeles and is accompanied with an “I Made Your Bag” card, featuring the smiling face of the maker whose hands crafted it. Plus 10% of all their profits are donated to Mercy for Animals.

They are a PETA-approved brand.
