Jerusalem Dry Oil Parfum | 30-50ml
We often hear of political conflicts overland. But what does the land have to say? There is wisdom if we listen closely enough. It’s telling us that it’s not peace that we seek, but harmony. A balance rather than a silence. We are part of a magnificent ecosystem - and it will always be more powerful than our squabbles.
And so, Lovorika decided to create a natural fragrance that embodies one of the most contentious places on earth: the Middle East. We named it Jerusalem as it is the epicentre of a deep, mystical and often misunderstood history. The markets of Jerusalem are adrift with Middle Eastern aromas. If you’ve ever walked through its buzzing stoney passages you’ll smell fresh herbs, fruit, incense, tobacco, flowers and attars. Jerusalem fragrance is a genderless evocative, soft spicy-floral that encapsulates the best of Middle Eastern culture. If the ‘leaders’ are not ready to bring harmony to the land for their people, then we’ll bring the people the harmonious land.
Grapefruit is grown in the coastal plains of Israel. Not only will you see locals eating it on the beaches and having it with their breakfast, it is believed to be the original fruit that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. It has been indigenous to the land since the very beginning of recorded history and so it is aptly their top Top Note.
From Palestine, we have olive oil ethically sourced from rain-fed and hand-picked olives that have been pressed on the day they were picked, which adds not just to the taste but to the aroma! The local farmers have tended their trees by hand for generations. Agriculture is the most significant sector in Palestine and it comes from a company committed to protecting, supporting and making local farming sustainable.
Jaffa orange is particularly special. Not only is the intoxicating aroma sweet, but so is the history of coexistence from which it is born. Jaffa (in Hebrew Yafo and in Arabic Yafa) is an ancient port famous for the biblical story of Jonah and the whale. It is an area today - in Southern Tel Aviv - where Jews and Muslims live together peacefully. It is also home to the Armenian Church at Saint Nicholas Monastery. It is a vibrant, diverse, and artistic area that - Lovorika thinks - exemplifies ‘peace in the Middle East’.
Jasmine is one of the most popular flowers in the Middle East. It is also the national flower of Syria. The two types popular in the Middle East are jasmine (Jasminum officinale) and Arabian jasmine or al-full (Jasminum sambac) - both in Lovorika's Jerusalem. Some in the Muslim world believe that the jinn, or genies – spiritual beings said to interact with the human world – are attracted by the plant’s heady, intoxicating fragrance.
Orange Blossom from Tunisia is a refreshing and uplifting floral. Early spring is the time of year when Tunisians living in Cap Bon have their annual orange blossom harvest. The days of distillation are a time of celebration and perhaps no coincidence that the oil is known for calming the nerves and soothing the soul.
Turkish Rose simply exudes joy and is grown in Isparta, also known as the Rose District and located in the south west part of Anatolia aka Asia Minor, the peninsula of land that today constitutes the Asian portion of Turkey.
Persian Saffron. Just. Magical. This popular spice from Iran has a salty-leathery aroma that is tremendously sensual and warm. Saffron is quite significant in Iranian culture. In mythological episode of Shahnameh, there are cases provided on how ancient Iranians used saffron in their ceremonies and rituals.
Frankincense is synonymous with church. As soon as you enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, incense bearers waft frankincense throughout (they take this role seriously- you may not want to get out of their way!) The Church was built into the traditional site of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial. But did you know most frankincense today comes from Somalia? Lovorika's comes from a Somalian Cooperative project committed to granting small, local stakeholders both access and control on the frankincense market.
Tobacco. No, it’s not originally from the Middle East, however it has been embraced into the culture. Hookah is the name of a large water pipe that originated in India but gained popularity in the Middle East, and Shisha is the name of the tobacco mixture that is smoked in it. The smoke dances throughout the Armenian, Jewish, Muslim and Christian quarters of Jerusalem... and so it’s in Lovorika's Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is not about politics or religion. It is about a unified culture with an intertwined history that harnesses scent to tell its story.

As a marketplace, we sell over 100 beautiful vegan and sustainable brands – but we don’t hold stock, so when you order a product from us, the item gets shipped from the brand itself. This eliminates needless carbon emissions and use of resources from not having to have the item packaged and shipped to us, and then repackaged and shipped out again to the customer; and not having to run major warehouse operations in addition to those of our brands.
If you have purchased multiple items from different brands at the same time, each item will be sent separately and directly from each individual brand.
Immaculate Vegan is therefore not directly responsible for the delivery of items purchased on our site. Responsibility for this is passed to the brand, once the purchase has been made and payment has been collected by us. However, we manage all customer communications, so if you have any issues with delivery of your item, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Delivery Destinations and Costs
We currently ship to the following territories: Europe, North America (US, Canada, and Mexico), Australia, New Zealand, Israel, UAE, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Note: Each of our brands select which countries in the world they deliver to, and they set their own delivery costs for each country (which will vary). If this is not clearly stated on the individual product page, then you will be able to check in the shopping bag before proceeding to payment.
Our brands also select their own couriers, which may also differ by country.
Delivery and Promotions
If you use a promotional code, the reduction is usually applied only to the price of the product and not the delivery cost.
VAT and Import Duties
All UK and EU orders have VAT already included, so you should not be charged VAT for orders you receive in the UK and EU. However you may be liable for import duties if you order a product from outside the UK and EU, e.g. from the US.
For customers outside of the UK and EU, your order may be subject to VAT and import duties upon arrival into your country, based on where you live.
As the customer, you are responsible for paying any duties that apply in your region. These are government-imposed duties that we have no control over as a retailer. Should you require more information, please contact your local customs office.
Depending on the postal services used by the brand, you will have either an option to pay any additional fees online by following the tracking number available once order is shipped or directly to your courier upon delivery. NB: you will be required to pay any relevant duties before your order will be released to you.
Unfortunately, if you fail to pay any charges and the parcel is returned to sender, we will not be able to refund your order.
Once you have ordered one or more items from Immaculate Vegan, the relevant brand will be immediately notified by Immaculate Vegan. This initiates the processing of your order, and ultimately delivery to you.
We ask our brands to send items to you as quickly and as cost efficiently as possible. Please bear in mind that products ordered from countries far away from your location will likely take longer to get to you.
A delivery confirmation email from Immaculate Vegan will be sent to you as soon as the order has been sent. This email will contain a tracking number and the date the brand dispatched the item.
If you want to know the status of your delivery, please use the tracking number and link in this delivery confirmation email. This is the easiest and quickest way for you to get this information.
If a brand is experiencing a high volume of orders, or other factors such as poor weather or postal strikes, delivery may be delayed by a few days.
If you experience a delivery issue which has not been resolved by the brand, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve this.
Incorrect Address Details
Please ensure your address is completed correctly and a valid phone number is available at order. Immaculate Vegan does not take responsibility for lost or undelivered items if the address is incorrect.
If your order is returned to the brand, the cost of redelivery must be paid before it is despatched again.
Please see our Returns Policy
We hope you love the items you buy from us; we take the utmost care in ensuring our goods are of a high quality. Additionally, as shipping goods has an environmental impact, we hope to minimise returns by giving you as much information as possible about each product.
However, we understand that from time to time things might not be quite what you expected. So here is our policy and instructions if you ever need to return a product:
Immaculate Vegan is a multi-brand marketplace. That means we offer products from different brands based in different countries. So you need to return your item directly to the brand supplier, not to Immaculate Vegan.
If you want to return an item, you need to inform Immaculate Vegan, rather than the brand. Please email us at email@example.com. You have 14 days to inform us of your desire to return an item, and then a further 14 days from the date you notify us to send back the item.
All items returned must be in their original condition – unused, unworn, unwashed, in the original packaging and with original labels and any hygiene stickers attached. All beauty products must be unopened, with all seals in place. Unfortunately, our suppliers will not be able to accept any items that fail to meet these criteria.
Many of our suppliers don’t include a returns slip in the package itself for environmental reasons; so if you don't find a returns address and returns information in your package, please don't worry. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will send you a returns slip with the returns address for that brand.
What can be returned?
Any item – regular priced or sale price – may be returned and refunded. This includes items purchased with a promotional or discount code.
However, any custom-made / made to order products cannot be returned and refunded.
If the supplier offers free returns, a Free Post sticker or code will be included in the packaging.
If the supplier does not offer free returns, you are responsible for packaging up the item and posting it back at your own cost. In this instance, we recommend a signed-for delivery with proof of postage.
The exception to this is when the item is faulty, in which case the brand is responsible for paying for costs of returning the item. Please inform us if you receive a faulty item as soon as possible, by emailing email@example.com.
Any delivery costs or import taxes you may have had to pay to receive an item cannot be refunded by us upon the return of that item.
You are responsible for any item being returned until it arrives back at the supplier.
It is your responsibility to fill out any customs declaration form correctly. When filling in the customs declaration form, please consult with your post office personnel how to declare a return exempt from import duties. Otherwise the brand may be charged customs import taxes, which they will deduct from your refund amount.
Processing your return
Once your returned item is received and inspected, the supplier will notify us, and we will then send you an email confirming this. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If your return is approved, your refund will be processed. We aim to refund you as soon as we can, once your returned item has been processed by the supplier.
We are legally obliged to ensure your money is refunded within 14 working days of receipt of the returned goods in saleable condition.
Please note that original shipping costs are not refundable unless the delivered item is faulty.
Most of our brand partners allow exchanges, although some only offer a return and refund. If you wish to have an exchange, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have had to pay import duty on a purchase, then you may be able to reclaim that from your local tax office, if you return the goods. Immaculate Vegan is not responsible for any additional customs and taxes applied to an order.
Returns & Damages
Immaculate Vegan is not liable for any items damaged or lost during delivery. If this does occur, please let us know and we will contact the brand and then follow up with you.
Cancellation policy and process
You can cancel an order that you have paid for if it has not yet been dispatched. To do this, please notify us by using the Contact Us form on our website or email us at email@example.com.
If you cancel an order that has been dispatched you are obliged to pay the cost of the return shipping. Note: we are unable to refund this or the original shipping fee.
We aim to process your refund within than 5 days of receipt of goods.
Any custom-made or made-to-order products cannot be cancelled.
This policy applies to products purchased from the www.immaculatevegan.com website only.
