This brand manufactures in the EU. As a result of EU/UK free trade agreements, there are no import duties on delivery to the UK or to any EU country. US customers do not pay any import duties on orders below $800.

Portuguese footwear brand NAE, whose name stands for No Animal Exploitation, create animal-friendly and eco-conscious boots, shoes, sandals, bags & accessories that also make a stand against human exploitation. NAE has been featured in VOGUE, among others.

Founders

Husband and wife team Alex and Paula Pèrez founded NAE to bring sustainability into fashion. Alex is an IT professional, while Paula has a Masters in Information Management. The couple both also studied Applied Mathematics before exploring their passion for entrepreneurship to launch NAE.

Materials

NAE loves working with plant-based materials such as leather made from pineapples, apples, cork, and recycled PET. The brand also uses organic cotton and recycled materials such as car tyres. Their sustainable and cruelty free materials are sourced in Spain, Italy, and Portugal.

People

NAE is a living-wage employer.

Production

All shoes and accessories made by NAE are manufactured in certified factories locally in Portugal, which they audit regularly.

All NAE packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable.
