This silver card holder is made with Piñatex – a highly sustainable and vegan material made from pineapple leaves. 

Each piece is handmade in Tuscany by Mauro, our Italian craftsman. The card holder has four card slots and a central slot for bills and receipts.

    Piñatex is water resistant and strong. It has passed ISO international standards tests for seam rupture, tear resistance, tensile strength, light and colour fastness and abrasion resistance. 

    To maintain your Piñatex bag, it is recommend to moisturise it regularly with a natural wax, such as Barbour Wax. After application, leave it in a warm place for 24 hours and then rub gently with a soft cloth. Marks can be cleaned with water, using a damp soft cloth or sponge.

    Piñatex: Pineapple leather, also known as Piñatex, was created by material innovation company Ananas Anam's Dr Carmen Hijosa. Crinkly in its texture, this vegan leather derives from the long leaves that grow alongside pineapples. The leaves would normally be discarded – pineapples only flower and fruit once, and at the end of that process, the leaves are considered waste. Ananas Anam's use of the leaves provides pineapple farmers in the Philippines, where their sources are located, with an additional stream of income. The leaves are transformed into leather by felting the long fibres together to create a substrate. The leftover biomass can also be used as a fertiliser. _

    Piñatex is made from 80% pineapple leaf and 20% polylactic acid fibres. The material is biodegradable in controlled conditions, but uses a coating made from petroleum resin, which the company is looking to replace with natural resins.

    As a marketplace, all items are shipped to you directly by our brands, using tracked delivery. If you have purchased multiple items from different brands at the same time, each item will be sent separately.
