Founders

Eleanor and David Jaffa are a father-daughter duo whose idea for Rewound Clothing was born during the COVID-19 pandemic. David, who has been in the fashion industry for over 50 years, combined his experience with his daughter Eleanor's digital marketing skills – she was working for an online start-up at the time – and passion for sustainability.

“Our mission is to create high-quality, sustainable shirts that fit straight into your wardrobe and that you’ll want to wear again and again. All of our shirts are timeless and trans-seasonal, so you can be sure to that you are making the most of the designs and shopping responsibly.”

Materials

All the materials that Rewound Clothing works with are either recycled or biodegradable - Tencel, cotton, hemp and blends of hemp and cotton, as well blends of Tencel and hemp. The garments also have recycled labels and linings, as well as biodegradable buttons.

Production

Manufacturing takes place in India. The company plants a tree for every order made. Lifecycle assessments on the products are also carried out to measure their impact.

People

All workers in Rewound Clothing's supply chain are paid a living wage. The company is accredited by Sedex, a system which allows suppliers to obtain data on ethical practices.

Packaging

The company uses recycled packaging.

Rewound Clothing works with vegan materials only.
