Rahui creates trendsetting, functional accessories in environmentally conscious plant-based leathers. Each product is handmade in Italy with high attention to detail. The company also donates 5% to its profits to charity.

Founders

Rahui was founded by Matt McKevitt and Paul Young. The brand was born in 2018 from a surprise discovery of a shared passion for sustainability and simple but elegant fashion accessories. Matt and Paul founded Rahui to help reshape the way people think about their impact on the world by creating products with clean, minimalist designs that have a lower environmental impact.

Materials

Rahui works with leathers made from pineapples and planning on collection with leathers made from apples, as well as cactus leather and Mirum, a plastic-free plant-based material. The brand also uses recycled materials as well as Tencel – a textile made from wood pulp cellulose.

Production

Rahui is aiming to become a net-zero brand and to produce only locally in Europe. They avoid third-party manufacturers and work directly with the supplier.

People

Rahui is a living-wage employer.

Packaging

The brand uses locally made packaging that is 100% plastic-free and recycled where possible.

Animals

Rahui is a PETA-Approved vegan brand.
