Where conscious meets chic: Solari Milano's elegant vegan shoes are as kind to the planet as they are stylish. This consciously minded label offers handcrafted shoes that are made from carefully sourced plant materials. The brand has been featured in Vegpreneur and Forbes, and frequently donates to charities such as Fondazione Rava, which supports disadvantaged children.

Founders

With a background in investment banking in London, Niccolò Amati was inspired by the necessity to wear non-leather shoes in a business environment. He started Solari alongside Orsola Amati, who has a background in communication and vegan shoe production, who noticed a gap in the market for business-appropriate vegan footwear.

“We are proud to produce truly cruelty-free shoes, which are consciously green and embody Italian elegance.”

Materials

The brand works with bio-poly materials made from corn and hemp, and uses recycled rubber for their soles. All materials are sourced from Italy.

People

All people in the supply chain are paid a living wage – including interns, who are paid above minimum wage. Working hours never exceed nine hours per day.

Production

Production takes place locally in Italy, currently with a small factory in Montegranaro. The founders spend months at the production site to have full control of conditions.

Packaging

Recycled paper is used in the packaging, and the courier used by the brand offsets emissions, making their delivery C02-free.

Animals

Solari Milano is a vegan brand.
