Under the tagline “real swimwear for real women”, Spanish brand AQVA Swimwear creates wearable, versatile and eco-conscious bathing suits, bikinis, and pareos to live your best beach life. Originating from the coastal beach lifestyle of Costa Brava, Sitges, and Baleares Islands. At AQVA, every swimsuit is meticulously crafted with care and attention to detail, harnessing the skills of local artisans who work lovingly by hand. This approach ensures the highest quality and reduces the brand's environmental footprint, aligning with its dedication to sustainability.

Founder

Cassandra Cabrera Gassmann's love for Mediterranean culture and her Spanish heritage, alongside a rebellious desire to make a change in swimwear, laid the ground for the creation of AQVA. But her mission goes beyond creating beautiful swimwear, expanding into empowering women to feel confident and comfortable in their skin. As a brand, AQVA believes that every body is a beach body, and the company's designs are crafted to celebrate the diversity and beauty of all women.

Materials

Working with recycled and regenerated nylon, AQVA places sustainability front and centre of their offering. Materials are sourced from France and Italy, and the brand is free from PVC.

Production

AQVA produces locally in a factory in Barcelona, and aiming to become a net-zero company.

People

The founder regularly visits the brand's supplier factories and all employees in the supply chain are paid a national living wage.

Animals

AQVA Swimwear is a fully vegan brand.

Packaging

The swimwear is packaged in a re-usable bag made from materials from AQVA's previous collections. This bag is then placed in a compostable mailer.
