Inspired by the drive to create better, more long-lasting products with a commitment to transparency, handbag brand Origyn is dedicated to cutting-edge innovation and conscious design to bring consumers a sleek, sophisticated collection of vegan accessories for all occasions.
Founders
Husband and wife Laurie Baker and Kevin Rogers founded Origyn to provide better alternatives to traditional fashion. After being passed down the craft of sewing by her grandmother and working for outerwear brands, Baker is now Executive Director of a startup accelerator. She is passionate about material innovation and new approaches to supply chains.

Materials
Origyn is lead by the belief that fashion needs to move away from animal-derived materials as well as synthetic ones. The brand works with plant-based, plastic-free vegan leather Mirum and is championing new innovations. Materials are sourced in the US and the brand is plastic-free.
Production
Production takes place in China, at vegan and ethically minded factory Veshin. The brand also has plans to manufacture in Italy or South America. The company's domestic shipping is currently net zero. Full transparency in the supply chain is a core value to the brand.
People
Fair treatment of employees is of key importance to Origyn, who monitor this aspect closely when choosing new partners. All employees are paid a national living wage.
Animals
Origyn is a fully vegan brand.
Charity donations
Up to 5% of profits are donated to selected charities such as GEMM which protects the St Lawrence waterway, home to 15 whale species. The company is also considering donating to 4Oceans and 1 Percent for the Planet.
Packaging
Origyn are selective about the amount of packaging used and all materials, from the tissue paper to the cardboard box, are recyclable.
