Creating their boots and sneakers from corn and cactus, the brand also puts great thought into comfort and durability. The name Voes stands for “vegan shoes”, underlining the brand's commitment to animal-free design.

“We're on a mission to pioneer the use of next generation materials to reduce plastic in the vegan fashion industry. We're 100% vegan and committed to not using any animal-based materials. We're vegan for the animals and sustainable for the planet. Think less plastic, more plants!”

Founder

Having been vegan since 2008, entrepreneur Desiree Dupuis recognised the need for a global fashion brand that championed vegan designer shoes free from PU or PVC.

Materials

Voes & Co works with cactus leather as well as corn leather, which both represent a 90% reduction in water waste and significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. With the goal to use more plastic-free materials in their designs, Voes & Co aims to create footwear that can be fully biodegradable.

Production

The brand manufactures its designs in Brazil. Their production partner, Ahimsa, implements processes that are optimised for sustainability, from working with new-generation materials to minimising waste.

People

Voes & Co operates with an ethical labour policy for all its suppliers and all workers are paid a living wage.

Animals

Voes & Co is a fully vegan brand, as a core part of their brand ethos. Glues and smaller components are all vegan.

Packaging

The shoes are shipped in craft boxes made with recycled materials. Minimal packaging is used overall.
